Alea K. Roberts is an associate in the New York office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice and Entertainment, Media & Sports practice groups. 

As general liability associate, Alea specializes in Insurance Defense for premises liability, tractor trailer trucking accidents, New York Labor Law 200, §240 and §240(6), medical malpractice and nursing home matters in New York Supreme Court and the Appellate Division. 

As an associate in the Entertainment, Media & Sports practice group, Alea handles breach of contract, arbitration, and other litigation-related claims that arise within the practice. Alea also assists in preparing and negotiating agreements in the music, television/film, and fashion industries, including recording agreements, publishing agreements, endorsement agreements, and production agreements.

Ms. Roberts obtained a unanimous defense verdict as the second seat trial attorney for the firm’s client regarding a breach of contract claim for $350,000 of reimbursement losses incurred during trading on a commodities account in Supreme Court of New York, New York County, Commercial Division before Judge Andrew Borrok. She also sat as a second seat trial attorney alongside James Whalen in a premises liability trial in Supreme Court of New York, Kings County. Ms. Roberts is dedicated to advocating for her clients through all stages of litigation to ensure that they obtain the relief to which they are entitled.

Alea received her bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, cum laude in 2016 and earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School, Evening Division in 2020.
