Lewis Brisbois Promotes Cybersecurity Partner to Practice Vice Chair

Atlanta, Ga. (June 30, 2023) – Lewis Brisbois is pleased to announce the promotion of Cybersecurity Partner Tawana B. Johnson to Vice Chair. In her new role, Ms. Johnson will join New Orleans Partner Ross Molina as Vice Chair of the practice.  

Ms. Johnson, who is based in the firm’s Atlanta office, is part of a team that is on call 24/7 to assist clients with breach response services throughout the United States and Canada. She advises clients during breach response to minimize operational disruption, containment and restoration following an attack, and forensic investigation, and is experienced in compliance with state data breach notification laws, GDPR, HIPAA, FERPA and GLBA requirements.

Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Co-Chair Robert Walker expressed enthusiasm about welcoming the Ms. Johnson to the practice’s leadership team, stating, “Tawana has been a huge asset to the cybersecurity team we are building at Lewis Brisbois, and an excellent advocate for our clients. Ms. Johnson’s practice is focused on helping clients respond to cybersecurity incidents, comply with state and federal data privacy requirements, and respond to state and federal regulatory investigations. She consults as data breach counsel for clients who have experienced cybersecurity incidents, including business email compromise, wire fraud and ransomware attacks.
