Fort Lauderdale Partners Featured in Florida Trend Magazine’s Inaugural “Legal Elite Notable” Managing Partners List

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (July 5, 2023) – Fort Lauderdale Partners Michael G. Platner and Cheryl Wilke were recently featured in Florida Trend Magazine’s inaugural list of “Legal Elite Notable Managing Partners” for the publication’s 65^th anniversary issue.  

The magazine received scores of nominations for exceptional lawyers from firms across Florida, and the final list of “outstanding” managing partners was created after editorial review. Nominees were chosen based on mentorship other attorneys, promotion of inclusive practices in the workplace, and leadership in professional organizations and civic/community service initiatives. 

Mr. Platner is the managing partner of Lewis Brisbois’ Fort Lauderdale office, as well as the chair of the firm’s national Corporate Practice and co-chair of its Securities & Corporate Finance Practice. He is also a member of the Firm’s Management Committee. Mr. Platner works with clients to develop and execute business-savvy legal strategies for businesses, from early stage through maturity and sale or merger, with a view toward maximizing benefit to their owners and investors. 

Ms. Wilke is Vice Chair of the Labor & Employment Practice and a member of the Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practice. She specializes in Employment Law as well as Corporate Compliance and Business Litigation for mid-market and national businesses, and has a wide range of experience in federal and state courts in all types of litigation.
