Spencer M. Mayer is a partner in the Miami office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. His practice focuses on all aspects of civil litigation, including complex commercial litigation, products liability, premises liability, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and insurance coverage.

Prior to joining the firm, Spencer worked for a Florida-based AmLaw 200 firm practicing civil litigation. Before entering civil practice, he served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted felony criminal cases ranging from fraud to violent crimes and handled high-profile public corruption cases as a member of the Police Accountability and Integrity Team.

Outside of the office, Spencer serves as Treasurer of the Miami-Dade Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Section. He was also selected to serve as a Fellow for the Dade Legal Aid Leadership Academy.

Spencer’s work in and outside of the office has resulted in several awards. These include Treasurer for the Miami-Dade Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Section; Super Lawyer’s Rising Star, 2024-2025; Miami-Dade Bar Association “Circle of Excellence” Rising Leader Award, 2024; and the Miami-Dade Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Section “40 under 40” Award, 2024.
