Erica Laroux is an Associate in the New Orleans office of Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith LLP and a member of the General Liability, Insurance Coverage, and Property and Casualty Insurance groups. She has extensive experience in civil litigation, general liability, first-party property, and insurance coverage, contract disputes, insurance law, property and casualty insurance, first-party property claims, commercial liability, insurance coverage, bad faith litigation, and premises liability. 

Prior to joining the firm, Erica clerked for a prominent regional law firm in Baton Rouge. From 2016 to 2023, she served as Executive Assistant to the General Counsel at LSU’s Tiger Athletic Foundation, overseeing capital projects and managing contracts for the university’s athletics department.

Erica graduated magna cum laude from Southern University Law Center where she ranked first in her class and served as Junior Editor of the Southern University Law Review. Her scholarly work includes a published article titled Voting Rights Suspended Under the Guise of Federalism and Voter Fraud in the Wake of Shelby and Brnovich (49 S. U. Law Rev. 441, 2022). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English Literature, with a minor in History, from Louisiana State University in 2012.

She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and New Orleans Bar Association. Admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, Erica is committed to delivering exceptional legal counsel and innovative solutions for our clients.
