Pedro Stefan Quintana, Esq. is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Business Practice Group. 

Mr. Quintana concentrates in the areas of Complex Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property, Sports and Entertainment, Crypto, Real Estate Litigation, Construction Litigation, Employment and Labor, Product Liability, Commercial and Regulatory Litigation, Professional Malpractice, and Banking and Finance. Pedro has experience in managing and navigating all phases of complex legal disputes in both transactional and litigation matters. Pedro has had the opportunity to work on Intellectual Property matters and Commercial Litigation relating to cannabis issues. Specifically, he has previously had the opportunity to register a trademark for cannabis/hemp products (smoke shop), advise on cannabis regulations relating to same and products within regulatory framework to sell at store, serve cease and desist for trademark, and litigate trademark infringement relating to a vape (Fume) industry. This prior experience will allows Mr. Quintana to navigate all aspects of one's cannabis/hemp related questions.

Mr. Quintana earned his Juris Doctorate from The University of Miami School of Law where he obtained a concentration in the Business of Innovation, Law, and Technology (BILT) program. During his tenure in law school, Mr. Quintana was a fellow at the UM Startup Law Practicum where he practiced intellectual property law, engaging directly with the USPTO and preparing responses to the USPTO for likelihood of consumer confusion.

Prior to becoming an Associate at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, Pedro was an attorney at Tobin, Reyes, Alvarez & De Biase, focusing in commercial litigation and transactional issues. Pedro began his career as an associate at Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A.’s complex commercial and intellectual property group dealing with large high-stake complex cases and clients. Prior to earning his license, Pedro was a law clerk at a Fortune 100 company, World Fuel Services, Corp., where he assisted executing a $1.8 billion credit facility among working on multiple mergers, acquisitions, corporate structuring and general corporate governance. Additionally, Pedro clerked at Capital Legal Group, where he prepared registrations for the Securities and Exchange Commission on behalf of multiple investment advisors and investment companies. Pedro also consulted on securities exemptions. During Pedro’s time at UM Law, he also interned for the Judge Hanzman at the Miami-Dade’s County Courthouse Complex Business Litigation division, and General Magistrate Lieberman at the Children’s Courthouse of Miami-Dade.

Pedro’s experience and commitment to innovative and legal solutions allows him to understand the changing problems faced by today’s businesses and strives to resolve those problems with maximum results.
