Michael C. Mashburn is an accomplished civil litigator with a comprehensive background in general liability defense, personal injury, and consumer protection law. Admitted to the California State Bar in 2017, Mr. Mashburn brings a broad range of litigation experience representing individual clients, private corporations, public entities, insurers, and national manufacturers in both state and federal court.

Mr. Mashburn is a member of Dana A. Fox’s litigation team, where his practice focuses on defending wrongful death and catastrophic injury claims, with substantial experience in all phases of litigation, including discovery, law and motion, court appearances, and strategic case evaluation. He maintains consistent communication with clients and insurance carriers, delivering thorough reporting and optimal legal recommendations.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Mashburn founded and managed a solo practice dedicated to personal injury, lemon law, contractual disputes, real estate matters, and insurance coverage matters. His hands-on approach and client-centered philosophy earned him a reputation for effective advocacy and practical counsel. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mashburn held associate positions at well-regarded firms where he developed significant expertise in defense litigation.

Mr. Mashburn earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, with a concentration in civil litigation. While in law school, he served as a mentor for the Young Lawyers Program where he helped local high school students learn trial litigation which ultimately culminated in the students participating in a mock trial hosted by Loyola. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of California, Riverside, where he graduated cum laude and was named to both the Dean’s and Chancellor’s Honors Lists.

Outside the practice of law, Mr. Mashburn enjoys fitness, travel, literature, basketball, and golf. He also enjoys spending time with his family and dogs.
