Makenzie Krause is an associate in the Minneapolis office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Products Liability and Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation Practices. 

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Makenzie practiced at a plaintiff-side employment law firm where she gained extensive experience working with plaintiffs and litigating on behalf of them. This position gave Makenzie the opportunity to learn how plaintiffs strategize their claims, as well as various occasions to participate in mediation and the various stages of litigation. Coming into defense work after working with plaintiffs has given Makenzie the insight to predict plaintiffs’ desires and support defendants through the variety of ways a plaintiff may pursue a claim. 

During law school, Makenzie clerked with a small insurance defense firm where she researched a variety of insurance issues and assisted with briefing and assessment of insured’s claims.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find Makenzie reading great books, watching and discussing the latest films, or playing games at friends’ homes and cabins.
