Mark Brown is a partner in the Madison County office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Products Liability and General Liability practices.
Corporate defense lawyer, plaintiffs’ lawyer, in-house counsel, outside general counsel, mediator, and arbitrator—Mark is the rare attorney who has been all of these. His clients benefit from the valuable insights that the breadth and depth of his experience bring to all aspects of his role as both a counselor and an advocate.
Mark has successfully defended some of the largest corporations in the nation, in addition to representing individuals and small businesses in successful actions against some of the nation’s biggest companies. He has recovered and saved tens of millions of dollars for his clients. He has managed teams of attorneys and has been responsible for hiring outside counsel and overseeing litigation in more than 30 states.
Mark has appeared in courtrooms from New York to California. As one federal judge once told him, “At first I didn’t understand why an Arizona company would hire a St. Louis lawyer for a case in Phoenix against a New York company. When I saw your work, I understood.”
As a talented trial lawyer, Mark understands what is important to judges and juries, and every step he takes is carefully chosen with trial in mind. By focusing on what really matters and ignoring the ‘noise’ that other lawyers often create, Mark can better see the whole chessboard.
Mark is a Strategist. An Investigator. An Interrogator. A Listener. A Thinker. A Storyteller. An Advocate. A Trusted Advisor.
His civil litigation clients have included companies in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation, real estate, health care, and pet food production, among others.
