Jim Hailey to Speak on Using Data to Investigate Automotive Cases at IASIU Annual Conference

New Orleans, La. (July 22, 2024) - New Orleans Partner James W. Hailey III will join a panel on investigating automotive cases at the International Association of Special Investigation Units' (IASIU) Annual Conference, hosted in Orlando on August 27 at 8:30 a.m. CT.
In this 100-minute session, titled "The Age of Data: Investigating Automotive Cases in the Digital World," Mr. Hailey and his co-panelists will offer a comprehensive breakdown of the various components in a vehicle that store data and the types of data available. Mr. Hailey will be joined by Chris Kalapp of Shelter Insurance Company (SIU) and Jeffrey Stark of U.S. Forensic to cover the relevance of this data in cases of theft, staged accidents, or minor impacts and provides guidelines on the legal acquisition of such data.
Mr. Hailey is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Insurance Coverage Practice. He focuses on assisting insurance and corporate clients in detecting, deterring, and defeating fraud in construction, premises, transportation, and general litigation matters, including coverage. He is also an active member of the Louisiana Bar and sits on the state's Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee.
