Lewis Brisbois Boosts Commercial Litigation Capabilities in Florida with New Partner Hire
Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome David Hendrix to its Tampa office as a partner in the firm’s Complex Business & Commercial Litigation and Banking & Finance Practices. With 34 years of legal experience, Mr. Hendrix joins Lewis Brisbois from GrayRobinson, where he founded the firm’s Banking & Finance Practice more than 20 years ago. Mr. Hendrix focuses his practice on commercial and business litigation – including extensive trial work – as well as banking litigation. He also regularly handles regulatory and compliance matters for financial institutions. Mr. Hendrix has tried well over 100 jury trials and has successfully represented large banks in dozens of high-exposure cases, including complex class actions.

(July 24, 2024) - Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome David Hendrix to its Tampa office as a partner in the firm’s Complex Business & Commercial Litigation and Banking & Finance Practices. With 34 years of legal experience, Mr. Hendrix joins Lewis Brisbois from GrayRobinson, where he founded the firm’s Banking & Finance Practice more than 20 years ago. Mr. Hendrix focuses his practice on commercial and business litigation – including extensive trial work – as well as banking litigation. He also regularly handles regulatory and compliance matters for financial institutions. In describing his decision to join Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Hendrix explained that the firm provided a national platform through which he could advise financial institutions across the country. “Joining Lewis Brisbois affords me the opportunity to expand my practice beyond Florida and serve clients on a national scale,” he noted. “The financial institutions that I work with are expanding into every state, and Lewis Brisbois has a presence in 32 of the 50 states. Clients see this as a terrific asset.”
In addition, Mr. Hendrix described that mentoring more junior attorneys has been important to him throughout his career. He explained, “I am particularly proud of the people I have hired, trained, and worked with. Four of these lawyers are now judges in Tampa. I am so proud of them.”

Mr. Hendrix earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University. He is admitted to practice in Florida.
