Joseph Englander is a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Intellectual Property & Technology, Complex Business & Commercial Litigation, and Cannabis, Hemp & Regulated Substances Practices.
Mr. Englander has deep experience in the intellectual property (IP)space. He regularly prosecutes patents and handles trademark and copyright matters. He also litigates IP cases in courts as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Mr. Englander negotiates and enforces IP transactions and complex licensing agreements, as well as high end technology transfer agreements. He also advises his clients on international regulatory compliance and data security issues. Also, he manages name, image, and likeness (NIL) issues.
In addition to his proficiency in IP law, Mr. Englander has significant experience with matters involving cannabis and agricultural regulation, as well as cryptocurrency, fintech, blockchain and aircraft issues.
