Yannucci will present a webinar titled “The Duty to Defend – What Every Claim Representative Needs to Know,” on August 15, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. PT.
During this informative 60-minute CLE session, our speakers will address the major duty to defend tests and approaches used in various states, from the “eight corners rule” to “extrinsic evidence rule”. They will assist insurance professionals in assessing primary issues related to the duty to defend under liability policies. Moderated by Orange County Partner Esther Holm, this session will be beneficial and informative for all insurance professionals or business owners.
Mr. Friedman is a National Co-Chair of the Insurance Coverage Practice and National Vice-Chair of the Bad Faith Litigation Practice. Mr. Friedman has extensive experience claim counseling and litigating in a wide variety of insurance coverage areas including: general liability, pollution, construction defect, first party property, fidelity, employment, professional liability, errors & omissions, public entity liability, surplus lines, asbestos and, toxic torts.
Mr. Manos is a member of the Insurance Law, Bad Faith Litigation, Directors & Officers Coverage & Litigation, and Insurance Coverage Practices, and chair of the Insurance Agents & Brokers E&O Practice. Mr. Manos has focused his practice in the area of insurance coverage claims and disputes, representing insurers regionally and nationally. He has significant experience in declaratory judgment and bad faith litigation and arbitrations throughout the country, including as lead trial counsel.
Mr. Velladao is the national coordinating chair of the Bad Faith Litigation & Insurance Coverage Practices. He specializes in insurance coverage and declaratory relief. He has more than 35 years of experience in handling insurance coverage disputes and related matters.
Ms. Yannucci is a national co-chair of Lewis Brisbois' Professional Liability Practice. She focuses on complex, high-profile professional liability litigation, including claims against attorneys, accountants, appraisers, real estate agents and brokers, title companies, real estate managers, insurance agents and brokers, and directors and officers. She also represents public entities and their employees in high-exposure professional liability litigation.
Ms. Holm is co-chair of the Professional Liability Practice, and vice-chair of the Product Liability Practice. Her specialty is Trial Practice in Professional, General, Employment, Transportation and Product Liability matters. She moderates all sessions that are part of this General Webinar series by Lewis Brisbois.
