Miami, Fla. (August 6, 2024) - Miami Associate Spencer M. Mayer was selected to participate as a fellow in the Dade Legal Aid Leadership Academy for the 2024/2025 bar year. During the program, Mr. Mayer will attend educational sessions and engage in networking opportunities designed to allow participants to expand their leadership skills, establish connections, and gain insight into critical issues confronting their community.

Dade Legal Aid, which was established 75 years ago, provides pro bono civil legal services to qualifying low-income residents in Miami-Dade county. According to the organization’s website, the Leadership Academy prepares “talented young lawyers for greater leadership roles throughout the community and beyond.” Its alumni include current judges and prominent members of the Miami-Dade legal community. To be selected for the program, applicants must, among other things, demonstrate leadership and involvement in pro bono activities.

Mr. Mayer is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ General Liability Practice. His practice focuses on all aspects of civil litigation, including complex commercial litigation, products liability, premises liability, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and insurance coverage. Outside of his practice, Mr. Mayer serves on the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section and as a member of the Economic Club of Miami.
