Douglas Atkinson is a partner in the San Francisco office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice.

Mr. Atkinson has extensive experience in civil litigation of personal injury actions, and a diverse range of business and construction litigation. Mr. Atkinson’s practice includes defense of excess claims made against individuals and businesses.

Mr. Atkinson has litigated in a wide range of civil and appellate fields, including: real property matters, contract disputes, construction defect disputes, investment fraud, roadway and other accidents, trespass of real property, employment law defense, temporary restraining orders (TROs), ADA defense, debt collection, and many other types of lawsuits and claims.

Mr. Atkinson has tried numerous cases to jury verdicts in California Superior Courts. Mr. Atkinson has arbitrated and mediated hundreds of cases with successful results. 

While in law school, Mr. Atkinson clerked with the research attorneys’ office at Marin Superior Court, and in the Appellate Division of the Superior Court.
