Tara Guarino is an Associate in the New York office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the firm’s General Liability and Construction Practices.  Specifically, Tara focuses her practice on the representation and defense of municipalities, owners, developers, construction managers, general contractors, and more, from large exposure involving complex construction cases and premises liability, including claims brought under the New York Labor Law.  Tara handles all stages of the litigation process, including initial investigation of incidents.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Tara began her career as an Assistant District Attorney at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, where she handled hundreds of cases at both the misdemeanor and felony level, from inception through resolution.  At the District Attorney’s Office, Tara had the opportunity to conduct multiple hearings and trials.  

Tara’s prior experience as a prosecutor allows her to bring a broad perspective and wide range of knowledge to her practice as a litigator.
