Jeffrey Liptrot Appointed to Serve on Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council’s Subcommittee on Legislation

Providence Partner Jeffrey Liptrot has been appointed by the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court and the Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council to serve on a subcommittee to review and propose legislative changes to the Workers’ Compensation Act for 2025. 

Providence, R.i (February 6, 2025) - Providence Partner Jeffrey Liptrot has been appointed by the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court and the Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council to serve on a subcommittee to review and propose legislative changes to the Workers’ Compensation Act for 2025. 

This is the fifth consecutive year he has been nominated to serve on this subcommittee. The group is comprised of two judges and six practitioners. The subcommittee reviews existing legislative enactments and drafts new legislation to be included in the yearly Workers’ Compensation Omnibus bill submitted to the Rhode Island General Assembly for passage. 

Mr. Liptrot is a member of the Workers' Compensation Practice. He has 25 years of trial practice, concentrating in the areas of workers’ compensation, employment litigation and insurance coverage disputes. He routinely represents self-insured employers and insurers before all levels of the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court.
