Rafael Zahralddin to Join Strafford Webinar on Bankruptcy Limits

Wilmington, Del. (March 3, 2025) – Wilmington Partner Rafael X. Zahralddin will speak at an upcoming Strafford webinar, titled “Bankruptcy Limits on Lockup Provisions,” taking place on March 6 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

In this 90-minute CLE session with interactive Q&A, Mr. Zahralddin will be joined by Andrew V. Alfano of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman and Jamie Leggett of Bast Amron to explore the enforceability of lockup provisions in Chapter 11 bankruptcies. The panelists will focus on lessons from various cases including GOL, SAS, LATAM, and Alto Maipo, and the legal challenges these agreements face under Section 1125 of the Bankruptcy Code. Attendees will be given guidance on structuring lockup agreements, avoiding pitfalls related to creditor solicitation and plan manipulation, and best practices for drafting enforceable provisions.
