Abanoub Mikhael is an associate in the Los Angeles Office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. Abanoub devotes his practice to representing employers in all facets of employment law, including litigation and preventive advice and counseling. He defends clients in state, federal, and tribal courts on a wide range of matters, including single plaintiff claims for harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination. He also handles wage and hour claims, class actions, and PAGA representative actions. Abanoub also represents clients before administrative agencies including the California Civil Rights Department, the California Department of Industrial Relations, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
During law school, Abanoub served as an extern for the Honorable Kendall J. Newman at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, where he honed his legal writing and research skills. Additionally, he was one of ten graduating students in his class elected to the Order of The Barristers, in recognition of his excellence in intramural and interscholastic appellate and trial advocacy.
