Robert C. Maslonka is an associate in the New York office of Lewis Brisbois. Robert’s experience covers a wide range of entertainment matters, including film and television, live stage, video games, music, podcasts, digital media, publishing, and visual arts. Robert works with film studios and distributors, television networks, producers, directors, musicians, managers, actors, artists, influencers, and other entertainers and entrepreneurs. He regularly drafts and negotiates a variety of documents vital to content creation and distribution, including production and distribution agreements, artist management agreements, shopping and option/purchase agreements, life story agreements, and more.

In addition to his entertainment experience, Robert’s practice includes a focus on copyrights and trademarks. Robert frequently handles copyright and trademark registration and prosecution, cease and desist demands (including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and trademark-related takedowns), statutory copyright terminations, fair use and chain of title review, and drafting and negotiating intellectual property-related agreements (including assignments, acquisition agreements, and coexistence agreements). He represents clients in connection with copyright and trademark filings in all areas of entertainment and related categories of expressive goods and services, including in film, music, art, video games, photography, and literature.

When he is not working, Robert is passionate about playing the drums, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and cooking a variety of cuisines. Robert is also an avid fan of ice hockey and proficient in Polish.
