Brent Bouma is a partner in the Newark office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice.

Brent has extensive experience handling all aspects of employment litigation in both state and federal courts. He guides clients through all stages of workplace litigation and alternative dispute resolution by developing aggressive and creative defense strategies. Brent has also handled mediations, arbitrations, and administrative matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, and various state agencies. 

Brent also advises clients on employment law issues routinely faced by companies on a day-to-day basis. Through his counseling efforts, Brent partners with management to proactively reduce exposure to future claims while enhancing employee performance. In addition, he regularly hosts webinars, presents at conferences, and prepares client alerts on significant employment law developments in New Jersey to keep employers up to date on ever-changing and increasingly burdensome legal obligations. 

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Brent worked for an AmLaw 200 firm where he represented employers through all aspects of employment litigation.
