Lewis Brisbois Launches Dedicated Insurance Underwriting Advisory Services Practice and Welcomes New Practice Co-Chair Rob Yellen
Lewis Brisbois is pleased to announce that it has formed an Insurance Underwriting Advisory Services Practice devoted to delivering a broad spectrum of specialized legal services tailored to the needs of insurance underwriters, product leaders, and managing general underwriters/agents. The firm is also pleased to welcome Rob Yellen to our New York office as co-chair of the firm’s new Insurance Underwriting Advisory Services Practice and vice-chair of its Directors & Officers Practice.
New York, New York (June 18, 2025) – Lewis Brisbois is pleased to announce that it has formed an Insurance Underwriting Advisory Services Practice devoted to delivering a broad spectrum of specialized legal services tailored to the needs of insurance underwriters, product leaders, and managing general underwriters/agents. The firm is also pleased to welcome Rob Yellen to our New York office as co-chair of the firm’s new Insurance Underwriting Advisory Services Practice and vice-chair of its Directors & Officers Practice.
Mr. Yellen, who will join New York Partner Jeffrey Gaylord in co-chairing the Insurance Underwriting Advisory Services Practice, is an industry-recognized Financial Lines leader with unique insider perspectives, deep experience, and a legacy of successes in underwriting and product leadership. Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Yellen served as an executive vice president of WTW broking units and as the Head of Product Development for AIG’s Global Financial Lines. He earned his law degree from the Boston University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Cornell University’s Dyson School of Applied Economics & Management.
In discussing the formation of Lewis Brisbois’ new practice and the arrival of Mr. Yellen, Mr. Gaylord explained, “We formed this Insurance Underwriting Advisory Services Practice in response to our clients’ heightened need for product and underwriting support as they compete in a dynamic risk, coverage, and working environment.
