Lewis Brisbois Boosts Government Contracts, Construction, and Litigation Capabilities in Washington, D.C. With New Partner Hire

Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Tamara McNulty to its Washington, D.C. office as a partner in the firm’s Complex Business & Commercial Litigation, Construction, and Administrative Law & Regulatory Practices. With 30 years of experience, including as senior in-house counsel and in Am Law 100 firms, Ms. McNulty focuses her practice on construction, government contracts law, and commercial litigation. She represents commercial and government contractors in matters involving a variety of complex claims and disputes. Ms. McNulty, who has tried numerous cases in both state and federal court, practices on a national and international scale, providing legal services to clients within the United States and abroad.

Washington, D.C. (June 25, 2025) - Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Tamara McNulty to its Washington, D.C. office as a partner in the firm’s Complex Business & Commercial Litigation, Construction, and Administrative Law & Regulatory Practices. With 30 years of experience, including as senior in-house counsel and in Am Law 100 firms, Ms. McNulty focuses her practice on construction, government contracts law, and commercial litigation. She represents commercial and government contractors in matters involving a variety of complex claims and disputes. Ms. McNulty, who has tried numerous cases in both state and federal court, practices on a national and international scale, providing legal services to clients within the United States and abroad.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Ms. McNulty served as division senior counsel for Black & Veatch Special Projects Corp. and as the acting general counsel to an expert electrical design-build and systems integration firm. She has extensive knowledge of and experience with complex international legal and compliance issues, as well as U.S. federal law. Outside of her practice, Ms. McNulty formerly served as chairperson of the Washington Building Congress (WBC), the largest association of the construction industry in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. She currently serves as a director of the WBC Foundation.

In discussing her decision to join Lewis Brisbois, Ms. McNulty explained, “I am hoping to expand the firm’s construction group in the D.C. area, particularly with respect to growing our volume of work with government contractors. With Lewis Brisbois’ resources and national platform, I am looking forward to serving existing clients at the highest level while expanding the practice’s client base. Ms. McNulty earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin. She is admitted to practice in state and federal court in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and Wisconsin. She has been recognized for her expertise in government contracts and construction litigation matters by Chambers USA and other attorney ranking publications.
