Krista Marti is an associate in the Miami office of Lewis Brisbois. Her practice covers all phases of civil litigation through trial and appeal, including strategy development, motion practice, and appellate briefing. By working closely with trial attorneys throughout the litigation process, Ms. Marti develops strategic arguments and navigates complex procedural issues to protect client interests — whether those interests are to uphold favorable judgments or overturn adverse rulings. She has experience conducting extensive legal research, drafting comprehensive briefs, and presenting oral arguments in matters before state and federal courts. 

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Ms. Marti worked at a business defense firm in the arenas of administrative law, employment law, and higher education law, wherein she participated in briefing and litigation at both the trial and appellate levels.

Ms. Marti graduated salutatorian, summa cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University College of Law. While attending law school, she received the book awards in Legal Writing, Business Entities, Family Law, Wills and Trusts, Agency, Uniform Commercial Code: Sales and Secured Financing, and Legal Remedies. Ms. Marti was selected to serve on the executive board of the Nova Law Review, and she was a teaching and research assistant in Torts and Constitutional Law. She was also elected to a three-year term as a law school governor for the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, Law School Division. Ms. Marti interned for the Honorable Judge Gary Cowart of the 17th Judicial Circuit during this time.

Ms. Marti graduated from Florida State University, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and interdisciplinary social sciences, where she was a member of the Honors Program and was selected as Honors Legal Scholar.
