Fort Lauderdale/Miami, Fla. (July 29, 2025) – Fort Lauderdale/Miami Partner Sean P. Shecter, co-chair of the firm’s Government Investigations & White Collar Defense Practice, recently helped a client avoid SEC enforcement in connection with a multimillion-dollar insider trading investigation tied to merger activity. 

Mr. Shecter secured a no-action outcome from the SEC by drawing on his deep securities enforcement experience and steady counsel throughout the process. 

Mr. Shecter – a former federal prosecutor – has extensive experience defending clients in regulatory, white-collar criminal, and complex civil litigation matters. In addition to serving as co-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Government Investigations & White-Collar Defense Practice, he is the chair of its Supply Chain Due Diligence Practice and a member of its AI Committee.
