Eric Hospodor is a seasoned attorney with more than 20 years of litigation and legal advisory experience across the public and private sectors. His practice focuses on Complex Business & Commercial Litigation, Professional Liability, General Liability, Transportation and Insurance Litigation. Eric also has extensive experience in Higher Education Law, Administrative Law, and Appellate practice. 

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Eric served as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, where he provided legal counsel to numerous state agencies, boards, and commissions. His responsibilities included administrative hearings, disciplinary actions, litigation in civil and appellate courts, rulemaking, and regulatory compliance.

Earlier in his career, Eric served as Associate General Counsel at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, advising leadership across six health science schools and the Office of Graduate Medical Education. He handled matters including physician peer review, student and faculty hearings and appeals, DEI policies, Title IX, data privacy, institutional governance, and worked closely with outside counsel in litigation matters.

He began his legal career at the Baker Donelson law firm, where he represented clients in complex high-stakes litigation, including antitrust, civil RICO, contractual disputes, as well as transportation and pharmaceutical litigation. Eric led litigation teams involving attorneys across the firm, managed complex discovery, and delivered results through negotiation, advocacy, and strategy.

Eric earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law, serving as Production Editor of the Law Review. He holds a B.A. in History from the University of Mississippi and studied abroad at the University of Reading in England.
