Kate Willard is an associate in the Denver office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. Ms. Willard is a civil litigator who practices primarily in the areas of real estate, professional liability, business litigation, and general liability. She has extensive experience representing homeowners associations (HOAs) in litigation as both plaintiff’s counsel and defense counsel. In addition, she serves as general counsel to HOAs in Colorado. In this role, she regularly advises the HOAs’ boards of directors on an array of issues including compliance, litigation, contracts, and nonprofit corporate governance. 

Ms. Willard also has experience representing oil and gas companies in Colorado and New Mexico. She has handled large-scale acquisitions and sales of real estate for the development of natural resources including wind and solar energy.
