Kimberly Grande is a partner in the Raleigh office of Lewis Brisbois, where she represents insureds, businesses, and public entities in a wide range of liability matters. Drawing on nearly two decades of governmental experience, Kimberly is known for delivering clear, strategic evaluations of claims, early identification of risk, and efficient defense strategies tailored to clients' operational and financial priorities.

Before joining Lewis Brisbois, Kimberly served as the Executive Director of North Carolina's Grievance Resolution Board, overseeing statewide administrative investigations and hearings. In that role, she implemented compliance reforms to strengthen the integrity of risk-management systems within the state's correctional operations. Kimberly's leadership experience in large-scale operations informs her practical understanding of liability exposure, documentation standards, and system-wide risk controls.

Previously, Kimberly also served as an Assistant Attorney General with the North Carolina Department of Justice, where she defended state agencies in complex civil litigation involving tort claims, constitutional issues, employment matters, civil rights, and high-exposure disputes in state and federal courts. She has significant trial and appellate experience, securing meritorious defense outcomes in numerous federal jury trials and appellate arguments. Kimberly has been recognized for her expertise in litigation arising under Section 1983 and frequently provides training to governmental and law enforcement officials.

Kimberly brings a results-oriented, client-centered approach to defending claims, advising on risk, and navigating matters involving complex governmental or institutional operations. She is licensed to practice in North Carolina and South Carolina.
