Alan Kaminsky joined Lewis Brisbois in 2005.  He has been a member of the firm’s Management Committee for the past 15 years, during which time the firm has grown into one of the top ten largest firms in the country.  Mr. Kaminsky is a Co-Managing Partner of the firms’ New York office. He also serves as a co-chair of the firms’ General Liability Practice Team, and is a member of the firm’s hiring committee. 

Mr. Kaminsky is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, having conducted over 250 trials during his career.  He has been recognized by his peers as one of the top civil defense personal injury trial attorneys for over the past 25 consecutive years.  He has successfully defended his clients against high profile catastrophic matters, and he has consulted on scores of cases across the country.  Mr. Kaminsky served as national coordinating defense  counsel for the Columbine school shootings, and numerous subsequent cases involving mass casualties nationwide.  Two of Mr. Kaminsky’s defense verdicts were cited by the National Law Journal as one of the ”Top Ten Defense Verdicts” of the year across the country.  He has written and spoken on various topics in legal publications and to organizations nationwide.  His book, “A Complete Guide to Premises Security Litigation” et. 2nd and 3rd Editions, was published by the American Bar Association. 

Mr. Kaminsky’s other areas of expertise include products liability litigation,  transportation accidents, construction accidents, crane collapse, and assault cases.  He regularly defends his clients against cases with the potential for tens of millions of dollars in exposure.

Alan and his wife have 3 children, their oldest son teaches children with special needs.  Their daughter is an attorney specializing in family law and their youngest son is a professional baseball player.  They have 3 grandchildren.
