Sam Cohen is a senior associate in the New York office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Professional Liability Practice.

Sam’s practice primarily focuses on matters including professional malpractice claims against attorneys, accountants, property managers, title companies, real estate agents, brokers, and other professionals. Sam diligently and zealously advocates for his clients from inception of claims up to the point of trial, including conducting in-depth investigations, drafting legal pleadings, conducting legal research, preparing dipositive motions, engaging in discovery, appearing at court conferences, orally arguing various applications, and engaging in settlement discussions. Sam also assists various professionals in complying with subpoenas issued as part of legal proceedings and criminal investigations.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Sam’s practice involved civil litigation with a focus on matters pertaining medical malpractice, pharmaceutical liability, general negligence, premises liability, motor vehicle negligence, and general negligence. Sam obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School, where he awarded the Carswell Scholarship. Sam earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Connecticut, where he graduated magna cum laude.
