Fraud Alert

Lewis Brisbois wants to warn you that malicious actors have been misusing the Lewis Brisbois brand and impersonating our firm and/or attorneys as part of a scheme to entice victims of crypto scams to retain attorneys to recover their losses. Unfortunately, the malicious actors appear to be involved in the initial crypto scam as well as the attempt to recover the losses. To date, the victims have been located in a number of states, including Washington, New Mexico and California.

These impersonators communicate utilizing WhatsApp, but may use other methods as well. Lewis Brisbois does not communicate with clients via WhatsApp. Moreover, to date we are aware of one website that these bad actors have used – wallsafetygoov.com.

Anyone soliciting you, contacting you or directing you to a website regarding representation related to a crypto loss is not Lewis Brisbois or any of our lawyers. Please remain vigilant of any suspicious solicitations or contacts regarding legal representation, including via WhatsApp.

We also suggest that you refrain from clicking on any links or attachments from unknown sources. Authentic emails from Lewis Brisbois personnel are in the format of firstname.lastname@lewisbrisbois.com.

If you have concerns that a communication purportedly from Lewis Brisbois is not authentic, please feel free to call or email the individual at Lewis Brisbois, utilizing the email found on the firm’s website LewisBrisbois.com to address any questions or concerns.

Lastly, if you are the recipient of a scam solicitation or contact, we recommend you report it to the proper authorities.
