Jessica Gavril is an associate in the Wilmington office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Complex Business & Commercial Litigation and Directors & Officers Litigation Practices. She represents clients in a broad range of matters, including commercial litigation, general liability, and insurance coverage disputes. She has experience managing all phases of litigation through trial.
Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Jessica gained significant litigation experience as an attorney at a Delaware litigation defense firm, where she represented hospitals and healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases involving catastrophic injuries and death. She also previously worked on a variety of complex commercial litigation matters in Maryland.
Pro Bono & Philanthropy
Jessica has represented pro bono litigants in the Delaware Family Court.
Legal Experience
While in law school, Jessica served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Mary Ellen Barbera on the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Jessica also worked as a research assistant for her civil procedure professor and a law clerk in the Civil Litigation Division of the Office of the Maryland Attorney General.
Jessica gained valuable experience serving as general counsel to a nonprofit board of directors as a student attorney in the University of Maryland School of Law's Community Justice Clinic.
Jessica has additional experience working on high-profile criminal defense and civil rights matters in Maryland.
