Erica Lawton is an associate in the Miami office of Lewis Brisbois. She advises clients on issues and matters related to insurance coverage in various states, including Florida, New Jersey, and New York. Erica handles coverage matters through litigation in both state and federal courts. She represents clients in matters of third-party liability, property insurance coverage, and matters concerning personal injury, bodily injury, and general liability.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Erica gained extensive experience handling healthcare coverage claims as both coverage counsel and monitoring counsel. Erica also previously worked as defense counsel, handling medical malpractice and general liability matters.

Erica received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York in 2016. She then went to earn her Juris Doctor from St. John’s University in Queens, New York in 2020.
