Jodi Donetta Lowry is a partner in the Las Vegas office of Lewis Brisbois. Miss Lowry represents and defends healthcare providers, clinics, and medical practitioners in complex medical malpractice litigation.
Miss Lowry has practiced law in Las Vegas since 2001, on both the defense and plaintiff sides, in such fields as physician, nursing, hospital, and long-term care malpractice and negligence; intellectual property litigation and prosecution; commercial, trade secret, and non-competition negotiation and litigation; and other civil litigation regarding issues such as defamation, fraudulent inducement, and high-value conversion. She began her legal career in Washington, D.C. defending behavioral health facilities. Previously she was the assistant editor of an education journal.
Given the wide range of her experience, Miss Lowry approaches every case by looking beyond the obvious claims and defenses and identifying novel avenues of pleading, motion practice, and discovery that may expedite resolution. This level of analysis led to Miss Lowry's development with a former colleague of a novel Nevada state intellectual property misappropriation tort that is now a standard cause of action pled in copyright, trademark, and other infringement cases. Miss Lowry grew up in a family of clinical professors of nursing and is not only fluent in medical terminology and record analysis, but in the ins and outs of daily work for health care professionals at all levels.
Miss Lowry, a Huntsville, Alabama native, is also an internationally published and exhibited paper and fiber artist. She volunteers as an online editor and tutor for English-language learners around the world.
