Daniel Myerson is a partner in the Chicago office of Lewis Brisbois, and a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice. He has extensive experience that includes not only years of being a litigator in private practice, but also acting as in-house counsel at a large multi-state company where he was responsible both for internal employment best practices and managing outside litigation, as well as practicing in the public sector, where his employment litigation experience including first-chairing dozens of matters at hearing. Thanks to all this, Mr. Myerson is able to advise clients through all of their employment needs, using an approach that brings to bear not just his comprehensive knowledge of the law and litigation, but also his understanding of the practical concerns of operating a business.

Mr. Myerson has a deep well of experience representing employers in disputes across most areas of employment and labor law, including most commonly in matters involving discrimination and retaliation, wage and hour, traditional labor, accommodations, restrictive covenants, whistleblowers, FMLA, OSHA, and contractual disputes. Beyond employment litigation, he has also handled a wide variety of other matters, including commercial litigation, defamation, personal injury, biometric litigation, and insurance coverage. His practice has regularly taken him into federal court, state courts, before numerous administrative agencies, and into private arbitration.

In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Myerson provides advice and counsel to companies both in and beyond the field of employment law. This includes drafting handbooks and employer policies, providing trainings in best practices and compliance, performing contract review, and drafting employment agreements, arbitration agreements, independent contractor agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants. Mr. Myerson also advises employers on internal matters such as investigations into potential misconduct, addressing compliance issues, responding to employee complaints, and handling accommodation requests, in order to help companies resolves concerns as effectively as possible before litigation ever occurs.
