Taylor Rasey is an associate in the Northwest Indiana office of Lewis Brisbois. Taylor has extensive experience representing individual and corporate clients in both federal and state court. Taylor is a member of the general liability practice. Her primary areas of practice include professional liability, wrongful death, personal injury, premise liability, insurance law, and products liability.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Taylor worked for other Indiana defense firms practicing civil rights defense litigation, representing municipalities, officials, and healthcare providers in areas of civil liability claims, including Section 1983 constitutional law claims involving excessive force, jail conditions, false arrest, malicious prosecution, and correctional healthcare. She also worked defending clients in matters involving general liability. During this time, Taylor was highly successful obtaining favorable rulings on Motions for Summary Judgment. Taylor is skilled in all aspects of litigation including factual investigation, discovery, motions practice, settlement negotiations, and trial, if necessary. 

Taylor received her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law where she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. While in law school, Taylor also participated in the General Practice Clinic where she provided free legal services to disadvantaged members of the community.

Taylor grew up in Buffalo, New York. She brings the same energy to life outside the office that she brings to her practice. A loyal Buffalo Bills enthusiast, she builds her fall weekends around football and family. She loves travel, great food, and she never turns down an excuse to explore somewhere new. Her two chocolate Labradors are constant companions and the source of most of her favorite stories—and occasional chaos.
