Marissa Rodriguez is an associate in the Newark office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. Marissa is licensed to practice law in the state of California. Prior to her employment with Lewis Brisbois, Marissa worked in civil litigation matters, primarily Family Law litigation involving high-conflict custody and high-net-worth divorce cases focused on complex financial matters. Marissa was recognized in the 2025 edition of "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America". This recognition is based on a peer-review methodology, recognizing legal professionals who are emerging talents in the legal field. 

Marissa graduated from California State University, Fullerton where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Law, Politics, and Society. Marissa received her Juris Doctor from Chapman University, Fowler School of Law with an emphasis in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution. While at Chapman, Marissa served as a board member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition team, and was an active mentor, serving as a Graduate School Mentor and Undergraduate School Mentor to First-Generation Scholars, being a First-Generation Scholar herself. Marissa also served as the Online Editor for the Diversity and Social Justice Forum, an academic journal at Chapman, served as a Student Attorney with the Family Protection Clinic, and served as the President of the Family Law society at Chapman. 

In her free time, Marissa enjoys walking her dog, traveling, cooking and baking, hiking, camping, and going to concerts.
