Javas Smith is an associate in the Madison County and Chicago offices of Lewis Brisbois and is a member of the General Liability, Labor & Employment, and Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) practices.

Javas is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in general litigation and labor and employment law. Having successfully argued cases in both trial and appellate courts, he is a skilled advocate for businesses, employers, and individuals facing complex legal disputes. 

With a unique perspective gained from experience in both private practice and in-house roles, Javas understands the challenges businesses face in navigating employment regulations, workplace disputes, and commercial litigation. Javas advises clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws, helping them navigate issues such as discrimination claims, wage and hour compliance, wrongful termination, and workplace policies. 

Representing both large and small businesses, Javas provides strategic legal counsel and aggressive advocacy in a wide rage of disputes, including employment-related claims, contract disputes, workplace investigations, and complex commercial litigation.
