Rusudan Tchitashvili is an associate in the New York office of Lewis Brisbois. She counsels clients on general liability issues, focusing on proactive risk management and effective resolution of claims.

Before joining Lewis Brisbois, Rusudan served as an associate attorney in the New York office of Florida-based law firm, where she focused on general liability and construction defense work. Prior to that, she served as an associate attorney at a prominent New York law firm, representing clients in family law and civil litigation in state and federal courts. Rusudan's earlier experience also includes serving as corporate counsel and a head of the legal department at an international company, where she managed commercial transactions and ensured corporate compliance. She began her legal career in her home country of Georgia, developing a diverse practice encompassing human rights, criminal, family, and corporate law while managing complex cases and supervising legal teams. 

Rusudan earned her Bachelor of Laws from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, and she graduated with highest honors. She then completed her Master of Laws in the same university. Her master's degree thesis, "Advantages of Mediation compared to Arbitration," was published in a bilingual journal of alternative dispute resolution — Yearbook. Rusudan pursued her doctoral studies at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and continued her research as Erasmus Mundus Scholar at Humboldt University of Berlin. In the United States, she went to earn her second Master of Laws from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, where she served as staff editor for the Cardozo International and Comparative Law Review and was awarded with the Dean's Merit Scholarship. 

Throughout her career as an attorney in Georgia, Rusudan demonstrated a commitment to public service through her pro bono work with Georgia's leading pro bono service provider, focusing on complex human rights violation cases. 

Rusudan is fluent in Georgian and is also admitted to practice law in Georgia.
