Angeline Ioannou Nominated to Seat on Connecticut Superior Court

Hartford, Conn. (February 14, 2025) - Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont has nominated Hartford Managing Partner Angeline Ioannou to serve as a judge on the Connecticut Superior Court.

Ms. Ioannou, who has served as Managing Partner of the firm's Hartford office since Jan. 13, 2017, was among 13 nominees named for 22 judicial vacancies on the Superior Court. Gov. Lamont forwarded the nominations to the Connecticut General Assembly last month.

Following her nomination, Ms. Ioannou is departing Lewis Brisbois on Feb. 15. Partners Timothy Gondek and Christy Jachimowski will succeed her as Co-Managing Partners of the Hartford office.

“I am honored by the nomination and the opportunity to serve the people of Connecticut if confirmed," said Ms. Ioannou. "I am grateful for the years I have spent among so many talented colleagues at Lewis Brisbois. I know that Tim and Christy will do a phenomenal job leading our Hartford office and continuing to provide the best-quality service to our clients."

At Lewis Brisbois, Ms. Ioannou was a member of the Healthcare and General Liability Practices. With more than 20 years of litigation experience, she split her practice between handling healthcare matters and defending complex tort and commercial liability claims involving wrongful death and catastrophic injuries.
