Angeline Ioannou Quoted in CLM Magazine Article on Allyship in the Workplace
Hartford, Conn. (June 21, 2023) – Hartford Managing Partner Angeline Ioannou was quoted in a Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) Magazine Pride Month celebration article on what it means to be an ally in the workplace.
For this piece, titled “Allyship in the Workplace,” the publication spoke to leaders from insurance carriers and law firms who are members of CLM about how they would describe as the perfect work ally. Ms. Ioannou emphasized playing an active role in promoting and advocating for inclusivity in the workplace.
“The perfect LGBTQ work ally is one who actively promotes and supports an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued," said Ms. Ioannou to CLM Magazine. "They listen, educate themselves, and use inclusive language, while advocating for equal opportunities and challenging discriminatory behavior.”
Ms. Ioannou is a member of Lewis Brisbois' Healthcare and General Liability Practices. She has more than 20 years of litigation experience and extensive practice defending complex tort and commercial liability claims, involving wrongful death and catastrophic injuries, and professional malpractice claims on behalf of nursing homes, physicians, and nurses.
