Bloomberg Law Spotlights Rosario Palmieri's Nomination for Labor Department Post
Washington, D.C. (July 2, 2025) – BloombergLaw published an article highlighting the Trump administration's nomination of Washington, D.C. Partner Rosario Palmieri to serve as the U.S. Department of Labor's assistant secretary of labor for policy.
Titled "Trump Taps Lewis Brisbois Partner for Key Labor Department Role," the article notes that, if confirmed to the post by the Senate, Mr. Palmieri would oversee the department’s rulemaking process. The article details Mr. Palmieri’s past arguments in favor of deregulation, which is a DOL priority under the administration.
Mr. Palmieri is co-chair of Lewis Brisbois' Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice, vice-chair of the Environment, Land & Natural Resources Practice and a member of the Government Affairs Practice. He has extensive experience in environmental, health, and safety as well as other federal regulatory and policy matters.
Previously, Mr. Palmieri served as the Associate Administrator of the Office of Information & Regulation Affairs in the White House Office of Management & Budget (OMB), overseeing regulatory review and analysis of energy, environmental, labor, agriculture, transportation and tax regulations across the federal government.
