Jane Luxton to Speak on Careers in Environmental Law and Policy at ELI Summer School Series

Washington, D.C. (May 29, 2025) - Washington, D.C. Co-Managing Partner Jane Luxton will speak on careers in Environmental Law and Policy at the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) Summer School Series hybrid event on June 3 at 12:00 p.m. ET.

This 120-minute informative session, titled “An Introduction to Careers in Environmental Law and Policy,” will explore the diverse career paths in environmental law and policy. Ms. Luxton will be joined by Meredith Hankins (Natural Resources Defense Council), Steve Neugeboren (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency), Kristine Perry (Environmental Law Institute), and William Piermattei (University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law) to share their professional journeys, day-to-day experiences, and insights on mentorship, networking, and the intersection of law and policy. Moderated by Madison Calhoun (Environmental Law Institute), attendees will gain a deeper understanding of what environmental law entails, how to navigate the field, and how to find their own path.

Ms. Luxton is co-chair of the Environment, Land, & Natural Resources Law Practice, co-chair of the Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice, chair of the Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (“PFAS”) Practice, and co-chair of the Sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Practice. Jane has extensive experience in environmental as well as other federal regulatory, policy, and litigation matters. She advises businesses, associations, and coalitions in navigating all levels of the federal regulatory process, including appellate advocacy.
