Jessica Beckwith to Co-Present at LACBA Labor & Employment Law Symposium
Los Angeles, Calif. (February 14, 2022) – Los Angeles Partner Jessica L. Beckwith will co-present on legal ethics at the virtual Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) Labor & Employment Law Symposium on March 15 at 4:00 p.m. PT.
In a 60-minute session titled “Professional Ethical Pitfalls,” Ms. Beckwith and her co-presenter will provide a summary of ethical rules relevant to both the plaintiff and defense bars, including a review of the most common ethical rules and issues. This presentation will cover representation issues, fee issues, confidentiality, conflicts, communication during litigation, and obligations owed to clients. CLE credits are available.
Ms. Beckwith serves as a Firmwide Assistant General Counsel at Lewis Brisbois. She has extensive experience in attorney regulation and ethics and has advised law firms on matters relating to bar charges in Arizona and State Bar complaints in California, as well as fee disputes, disciplinary matters, disqualification issues, bar admissions, and other ethics issues. She is also frequently retained as an expert witness in attorney ethics matters.
