Naomi Johnson Speaks with Law360 About Joining Lewis Brisbois’ Labor & Employment Team

Portland, Ore. (May 4, 2023) – Portland Partner Naomi Johnson recently spoke to Law360 about joining Lewis Brisbois’ Labor & Employment Practice during a transitional period for the team. The firm announced her move in a press release earlier this week.

Ms. Johnson told Law360 that the stellar reputation of Lewis Brisbois and its attorneys played a part in her decision to join the firm, saying, "I knew some of the lawyers before I joined and just thought really highly of them, and they have a terrific labor and employment practice," adding, "So, I knew that I would be getting the kind of work that I want to be getting on the management side of employment."

Ms. Johnson also noted that the recent changes within the firm's Labor & Employment Practice presented an opportunity to expand her own practice. 

Newly appointed National Labor & Employment Practice Chair Elior D. Shiloh also provided a statement to Law360 about Ms. Johnson's arrival, explaining that her experience and background will benefit the firm's clients and enhance the high level of service provided to clients locally and throughout the country. 

"One of our ongoing goals for the firm's Labor & Employment Practice is to recruit strategically across the nation to find dynamic attorneys who have the practical, substantive knowledge to service our clients and expand their own successful practices on a national platform," Mr. Shiloh told Law360. "Naomi is one of those lawyers, and we are excited she chose to join Lewis Brisbois."

Ms. Johnson’s practice is dedicated exclusively to representing and counseling employers of all sizes in employment-related matters, including agency charges, litigation, risk management, policy preparation, and training. She has extensive experience handling matters before the EEOC, the Oregon Bureau of Labor & Industry, and the Washington Human Rights Commission.
