Webinar Series: Avoiding Sanctions & Punitive Damages

Orange County, Calif. (July 27, 2023) – St. Louis Managing Partner Tracy Cowan, Walnut Creek Partner Dominique Thomas, and Seattle Partner Rachel Tallon Reynolds will present a webinar titled “Avoiding Sanctions & Punitive Damages,” on August 17, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. PT.

During this informative 60-minute CLE session, our speakers will discuss recent litigation trends, discovery violations, and mitigation activities for punitive damages. Moderated by Orange County Partner Esther Holm, this program will train insurance professionals and attorneys on valuation techniques to accurately assess claim values and safeguard business assets.

Mr. Cowan is vice-chair of the Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation Practice and has extensive experience managing national mass tort litigation for corporate clients, including asbestos/talc, toxic tort, products liability, and environmental matters venued in trial courts around the United States.

Ms. Thomas is a member of the Labor & Employment Practice. She represents and counsels employers on employment and employee benefit matters. Ms. Thomas has extensive class action litigation experience and defends employers facing claims involving wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She also has extensive experience in employee benefits litigation and has represented dozens of employers and plan sponsors in cases arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).

Ms. Reynolds is a member of the Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation, Products Liability, Life Sciences, Public Agency & Municipal Law, and National Trial Practices. She acts as counsel for a variety of product manufacturers and premises defendants in asbestos litigation, and has handled cases involving allegedly defective medical devices for leading medical technology companies.

Ms. Holm is co-chair of the Professional Liability Practice, and vice-chair of the Product Liability Practice. Her specialty is Trial Practice in Professional, General, Employment, Transportation and Product Liability matters. She moderates all sessions that are part of this General Webinar series by Lewis Brisbois.
