Webinar Series: Defending Telehealth & Behavioral Healthcare Professionals

Orange County, Calif. (September 26, 2023) – Newark Partners Malinda A. Miller and Paola A. Silverman, with Northwest Indiana Partner Ami T. Anderson will present a webinar titled “Defending Telehealth & Behavioral Healthcare Professionals,” on October 19, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. PT.

During this informative 60-minute CLE session, our speakers will discuss the rapid growth of telehealth and mental health obligations, as well as the emerging risks and legal complexities associated with them. Moderated by Orange County Partner Esther Holm, this program will provide valuable insight to insurance professionals, workers' compensation administrators, and those seeking key insights into the evolving landscape of healthcare claims.

Ms. Miller is a chair of the Healthcare, Medical Malpractice and Long-Term Care Practices. She has a depth of experience in the defense of long-term care and assisted living facilities, and has represented numerous facilities in claims involving falls, decubitus ulcers, elopement, medication errors, abuse/neglect, dehydration/malnutrition, contract and fraud based claims obtaining successful results through all phases of litigation.

Ms. Anderson has an extensive and diverse litigation practice, and she frequently appears before both Indiana state and federal courts as well as the Indiana Workers' Compensation Board. She represents defendants in a variety of matters including general liability, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, professional liability, products liability, and workers' compensation matters.

Ms. Silverman is a member of the General Liability, Medical Malpractice, and Long-Term Care Practices. Ms. Silverman focuses part of her practice on the defense of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities against claims involving pressure injuries, falls, and medication errors, among many others. Ms. Silverman also represents clients in the insurance industry in matters involving bad faith and extra-contractual claims.

Ms. Holm is co-chair of the Professional Liability Practice, and vice-chair of the Product Liability Practice. Her specialty is Trial Practice in Professional, General, Employment, Transportation and Product Liability matters. She moderates all sessions that are part of this General Webinar series by Lewis Brisbois.
